Wonderful news. Microsoft is such a kind-hearted and giving company, always doing its best to work constructively with other software vendors. And to think of all the flak that Microsoft has copped over anti-competitive behaviour, anti-trust suits, big fines in Europe, the dissembling and lies, the very revealing (and highly embarrassing) internal emails that have been leaked in recent times, the rapacious and amoral conduct, and the bloated, buggy, insecure, flaky, resource-hungry software that they have foisted on their hapless victims ... I hope that, in the light of this announcement, it will be understood that Microsoft has simply been misunderstood and misrepresented, and that as far as corporate citizens go, Microsoft is in fact a paragon of virtue.

Amen. When it comes right down to it, it's clear that all of Microsoft's woes are the direct result of bad luck and misunderstandings.
