Subject: wireless card not recognized

i am having a common problem with linux, i cannot get my wireless card to work. i am using Kubuntu 8.04 64-bit Hardy (KDE 3.5). i have tried all the usual stuff that i have before (bcm43xx-fwcutter and ndiswrapper). ndiswrapper said that my driver was installed, and nothing happened. i believe that it is seeing my WLAN card as a USB device and i have no idea what to do about it, here is the code:

Go to menu item System Settings -> Network Settings. Is your device listed there as eth1 (most likely)?

no, it is not listed, just my ethernet card as eth0
