Subject: A zipping linux.

I wonder if there's a Linux distro that atou maticly zips programs once your done with them. That would save space and be realy efficnt. If there is, could some one show me the web site. else: I think I'll make one and base it on dsl, to make it even better for space and speed. What do you think, can it be done?

What do you mean? How would the kernel know when you're finished using a file? It sounds like this is something that would be handled better by the application or applications that actually create and access the file. If you're refering to system files, I think that it would add far too much computing overhead for very little savings on disk space.

You probably want a compressed file system. Live CDs are already compressed.
