Hex Joined: Jan 25, 2008 Posts: 6 Other Topics	Posted May 12, 2008 at 9:02:28 AM Subject: Newly Installed Fedora Programs Won't Run I am using Fedora 7, and I have recently installed some programs using the default software manager. whenever I try to run any of these programs, nothing happens??? were all those packages broken, or is it a simple problem that can be fixed?

You can find out what the name is by right clicking the icon and looking to see where it points. Then from the command prompt you can see what happens - error message etc. Before you can really get any help you need more info though. Thanks

Hex Joined Jan 25, 2008 Posts: 6 Other Topics	Posted: May 13, 2008 11:48:25 AM Subject: Newly Installed Fedora Programs Won't Run When I try to run a program from the terminal, I get 'error while loading shared libraries: libsndfile.so.1: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory' and when I try to open other programs, the error message is pretty much the same, with the filename the only thing that changes. Whats the deal here, can this be fixed??

The Default is /var/lib/locatedb 1.2. You ca update /var/lib/locatedb or your desire file with "updatedb" 2. Of cource it's better update db before locating 3. It encounters errors with loading the Daemons. Maybe I should give up and try another distro.
