Subject: What disto has the lowest system requirements?

What I want to do is install a version of linux that requires minimum system requirements so I can run Macintosh OS X or Windows on a virtual machine software program. Would this make Windows or Macintosh run on lower system requirements? Can I do this. I dont want puppy linux. I just HATE puppies!!! I have a pet turtle and I'm fine with that. Where is turtle linux at? just kidding guys. But com' on I need your help!

uhhh... fluxbox based distros are pretty light.
fluxbuntu, sabayon...

but first up, what's your system stats?

Truthfully, if you plan on connecting to the virtual machines via VNC or Rdesktop, just pick your favorite distro and see if it has a server install (no Xwindows, Gnome, KDE, or anything along those lines), just install the basics needed for the box to run and install xen/vmware/qemu/whatever.

Just be sure the box is beefy enough to run the other OS as well as some overhead for linux.

My choice would be a Gentoo stage 3 install, then just emerge vmware. Very lean install, but gentoo has a big learning curve.
