Do you mean just a wireless router? How do you obtain your internet signal, via a cable modem or DSL? The answer is probably very straightforward, but you need to provide a little more information first.

I have a Linksys wireless router I tryed the linksys pci wireless card with the Brod43XX config and even downloaded the updated driver with ndiswapper still will not work so I was going just buy a new one as I have researched it would be better to get a wireless bridge to to connect to the ethernet port so it would not matter what distro I was running I would not have to config a wireless adapter just the ethernet the only problem is the only I can find is like 100.00 so I looking to see if I can get away with just an access point or even a wirless game adapter as I was told they are wireless gateways also any info/help would be a great help

Thanks ressler76

Hi Ressler, which distribution are you using? I'm not sure that a wireless bridge would be the most efficient use of your router.

I'm running PC Linux OS, I thought with the wireless gateway/Access Point the config would be much easer and if I were to reload with a different distro I would not have to worrie about weather the distro is compatable with the adapter I bought.

Maybe checkout the hardware database first?
