Subject: Help with OpenGL setup

I currently have an ATI Radeon HD3850 in my computer, and the proper drivers (fglrx) are installed and running. I am running OpenSuse 11. I can easily run OpenGL applications, such as glxgears, but I have noticed something that is not working right. In any OpenGL application that is run, mostly noticeable with OpenGL screensavers, black bar will flash on the screen and go away. The OpenGL still runs, but as it is displayed, something happens that causes these black bars to appear and disappear. They just flash up and go away, not staying long at all. I am wondering if it has anything to do with the settings of my graphics card, and if I can fix it in any way. Perhaps it has something to do with Vertical and Horizontal Sync? I would greatly appreciate it if someone could assist me with this matter. Thank you.

Seems like a bug to me. Refer to the official forums, or mailing lists to see if this is something that others too have experienced. You can even file a bug for it here:
