When I pull the video time slider to a later point in the video, the video player resets to the beginning. What are the good video streamers out there for Linux? 2nd question. I'm new to Linux and downloaded the Real Player .bin file. What do I do from there? How do you perform an installation? The RealPlayer bin file is sitting on my desktop. Thanks, JB

What distribution are you running? Move the .bin to some other directory, maybe your home. Then open a terminal window and type these commands: chmod a+x nameofbinfile.bin ./nameofbinfile.bin That's it. Coauthor of Beginning Fedora: From Novice to Professional published by Apress.
