Any recommendations for a decent web site editor?

I've tried NVU, and I like it, but its a bit flakey.

Bluefish & Amaya are too awkward - for a non programmer

Don't want to switch back to Win/FrontPage.

I know I could just 'put the hours in' and use one of the above, but I need quick results now.

Appreciate the free/open source spirit, but I'm equally open to pay for a decent tool.

Thanks in advance!

Ideally the best web editor in Linux is your favourite text editor. But if you're looking at generating webpages from a designer's point of view, then maybe you could look for some sort of DTP (Desktop Publishing) software that allows you to export html.

Mozilla's Seamonkey is an easy to use wysiwyg editor. Quanta Plus is a pretty full functioned website editor. I use it and Bluefish. Personally I prefer Bluefish to anything out there.

Quanta can do the job.
Before i use Eclipse, but its kinda monolithic for me and because its an all purpose interface, its not really designed to focus on web development.

Yes, I would definitely having a look at Quanta. Lots of automatic features, but not too bloated, and writes relatively clean HTML.
