Question Detail

Cisco's matrix of support shows it is possible to get the audio feed in Linux, however, I am seeing the error "Audio Device is not accessible now"     Audio works just fine in all other applications.  Running Ubuntu 9.04 on Thinkpad T61

#1 Tom Anderson 2010-01-08 19:27 If you have this type of problem, it could arise from a number of different reasons. As you say that all audio works fine for you, I suspect that the problem is not with the audio at all. It seems like it must be a permission or routing problem.

However, there are a number of questions I'd need to answer in the process of resolving this issue:
1. Can the Cisco audio stream be accessed from any other computers?
2. Can anything else be accessed from the Cisco product?
3. Does the Ubuntu computer have permission to connect to the Cisco product?
4. Is there any type of firewall? Does your application require port-forwarding?
