See, might be several issue behind this probs. To fix uo the error just directly download ubuntu iso & put the file in a directory where the wubi is located. After that re-attempt the same action. Even u can check cd (suspecting the cd might be bad). Give a try to switch to a full installation. Or dnld fresh and latest ver of wubi and try the same.
