Not sure, but expecting plymouth is responsible for this issue cause it is launched splash and login screen in Ubuntu 10.04 onwards.... the default ubuntu theme has a lengthy script called ubuntu-logo.script, but mysteriously the .script file is missing in the theme that might be cause the boot failure. Try to reboot in recovery mode, enter usern / pass at command prompt, and then type startx to get desktop. One more reason is check the status of enable / disable UEFI in bios..... |
