Home Learn Linux Linux Answers Systems Management What might be the reason behind longer boot time for WIN7?
  • According to ur Q, u did not mention what kind of comp conf and version of ubuntu. However, this cause might be arise due to some of HW related like old usb internet keyboard / mouse also. Try to replace if any one like this exists and see if there is any difference. Else try to disable legacy usb support and observe the same. OR try to make remarks / delete the two words like "quiet splash". If possible post the result by using the command as: dmesg

  • Hi !
It is possible that you have too many files on your harddisk ; a general cleaning might help a lot ; some programs like Regedit (not free) and many free programs exist to help you : a Google search will be useful to find cleaning programs for Windows ; they should be used once a month to keep your machine in good shape, good luck. Dan.
