  • If you cant get access to the server then try executing ifconfig command in a php script using exec() function:
    http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.exec.php

  • With external access simply you can't.
    You need to login into your remote machine and issue ifconfig from there

  • My previous answer was wrong.. You may not have permission to execute a command in php.

    So you will need access to that machine.

  • I agree, you would need to either visit the machine and issue an ifconfig from terminal or if you have access to the router in that network and look at it's table of attached devices. You will be able to see the hostname and ipaddress that has been issued. You may not have access for this either..
