Answers
  • Have u checked the setup CD by inserting into another CD/DVD drive !!
Two possible reasons might be, either your CD/DVD drive is not working properly or the installation CD has some scratch/ corrupt....
Linux has strong GRUB utility which can handle multiple OS/ boot sequence, so insert a Linux setup CD/DVD starts installation if there is no ambiguous reason.

  • Your problem with booting from the disc may be due to a setting in your BIOS. You will need to find the hotkey which takes you to the BIOS menu, which you will have to press upon startup of the machine, and once in the BIOS menu, you will need to change your boot order, with the CD/DVD drive being the first in line. Another problem could be with the disc itself. It may have been burned wrong, in which case, you will need to reburn the image onto another disc, and make sure it is burned correctly. A good program for this is Imgburn, and also the burn utility built into Windows 7, if you have that os already. Good luck trying to get it up and running!
