Home Learn Linux Linux Answers Systems Management How do i download a 32 iso file to cd for use with virtual box
Answers
  • On any operating system you can go to the website for the Linux distribution you want to use and download their cd iso image. If you need a 32 bit version make sure to get that version during download. Since you want to use it with virtualbox, you do not need to create a cd from it, you can attach the iso directly to the virtual machine as a cdrom device.

  • Very simple..... 1st dnld the desired ISO on ur PC, after downloading, just insert a new CD into ur CD/DVD drive. Right click on the ISO file & select Write to Disc or something like that, it opens a Dialog box where u click just Write button and it will write the file and ready for u. Next mount this cd and work as u wish.

  • Go to Distrowatch.com, find the Linux distribution you want to install as a VM, and make sure it is the x86 architecture, then just download, and mount the image file onto your virtual machine, and it should boot and you can install from there. Good luck!
