  • From the specs for this laptop I found online, it appears it to have enough power to run about any distro. I have had no problem running several of the major distros on 6-7 year old P4 PCs. One of the main problems I've had with Linux is wireless drivers so be sure to run your distro as a live CD to make sure this won't be a problem before installing. You may need to find a windows wireless driver and use ndiswrapper for wireless access. If you don't yet have a favorite distro, I currently have Linux Royal on all my machines. Its based on Ubuntu 12.nn so its very stable, has an excellent desktop, and several of the lead developers are available on FB in the Linux Royal group on a daily basis for quick answers to your questions. It has all the nerdy features you might want, but my senior citizen wife who has limited computer experience finds it very easy to use and likes it much better than Win 7 or 8. Here's their website: http://www.linux-royal.com/
