Home Learn Linux Linux Answers Hardware Why does libreoffice change font size when turned into a word document?
Answers
  • Most often, this is due to the different fonts available in the 2 packages.

Microsoft Word come with a set of proprietary fonts supplied by Microsoft, Libre Office come with Open Source fonts. The available fonts are similar, but not an exact match. When a document is converted, the conversion program attempts as close a match as it can, but there is no way it can match exactly.
