  • If you used the installer's option of installing alongside Windows, the Linux installation should not have had any affect on your Windows installation. Is it possible you modified your partitions or something likewise?

    If a Windows system file has gone corrupt, unfortunately your best bet would be to do a fresh installation. You should be able to go into your Linux installation and backup all of your data though.
