Home Learn Linux Linux Answers Applications Wanted to try linux not so sure now?
  • I have been running Debian 7 on an old Mac powerpc G5, and just getting there was an issue. There are several websites dedicated to Macs using Linuxware..and BSDware, see if you can locate the frostwire website..and/or any instructional videos on YouTube for Macs and Linux. There are virtual machines for Linux that will let you run Macware, some simple searches should show you the best ones...but from my experience don't expect to locate old powerpc apps in Linux...recent Intel apps that can run on ppc64 maybe...but no "original code" apps.
