Home Learn Linux Linux Answers Applications What is the best Linux distro for Java programming?

Java itself can be comfortably programmed on many flavors of Linux, and the choice of which flavor would simply be up to your personal preference. However when coupled with the desire to have Oracle DB, this page seems to indicate that Oracle provides at least the express edition of their Database as an RPM, and so it may be best that you should use an RPM based distribution for this purpose. Fedora (as it turns out) is an RPM based distribution.
