  • For something as old as a 2005 Dell Latitude 110, look into Zorin OS 6.2 Lite or if you have closer to 1 GB RAM, Linux Lite.

  • Yes, we'll need more information. If Linux Mint didn't install, there may be something else at play here. I've used Mint on all manner of hardware, some much older than yours with no problem. Many of those systems were Dells, so I don't think it would be a driver problem. More information on the error and more detailed specs on your machine will allow a better diagnosis.

  • Another thing to consider: did you create the bootable disc or bootable USB correctly? Was the linux iso file downloaded corrupted? Are there any disc errors?
