On my wife's Eee PC 701 4G, Ubuntu is small enough to be on the 4GB Solid State Drive. I'd recommend installing on the SSD, because if there's no disk-checking you will boot up within 15-20 seconds. |

yep Kunal's got it right I've tried it on my eeepc,Ubuntu works great with a usb flash drive and installs straightforwardly, I've used easypeasy on my eeepc but wasn't too impressed. |
