    adduser is a perl script.
    If you r using ubuntu then you can get it from live CD itself. Just boot the CD and copy it to your partition.

    Or you can also use useradd command (its not a script) to add users to the system.

  • As the user above me said, just copy it from the Fedora live cd. Because it is a Perl script it is portable and you don't have to worry about it not being compatible. As long as it is from the same distro it should be fine.

    You could try reinstalling the package which includes the script. I think the package is " fedora-usermgmt".

  • The simplest method would be to reinstall the package called shadow using your installation disk or the included package management tools.
