  • Try pressing Ctrl-Alt-F1 to switch to a Virtual Terminal, press the appropriate FN keys to make the Virtual Terminal appear however you want it, and then press Ctrl-Alt-F7 (or the number 1 above however many virtual terminals you have) to switch back to a GUI. I don't have an Acer, but that works for me with a Dell with a similar Graphics controller. Hope that helps.

  • Hi, I've used the command xrandr for my toshiba L30-100 laptop and was able, by scripting the various options offered to send video over to the projector. Please check the xrandr man.
