Home Learn Linux Linux Answers Internet how do I use "add/remove software" to install a program from flash drive?
Answers
  • Please tell us what Linux based distro you are using, then we can guide you to the correct instructions.

If you are using a debian based distro it may be a little difficult because apt-get expects a specific structure in all mirror locations, in which lacking that structure causes it to reject the location. If you are only wanting to install packages from the flash drive it may be easier to just open then with synaptic which will start the installation.
