Unfortunately the blacklist package does not properly stop nouveau, so you will need to remove the nouveau package then install the nouveau-blacklist as a precaution. Follow the steps below to properly remove and block the nouveau driver: removepkg xf86-video-nouveau-8bb82312-x86_64-1 |

I'm now running 13.37 (current) on both my desktop and laptop machines with no Nouveau issues. This question can be marked as resolved. Thanks, ~Eric |
