  • I use vlock on Fedora/RH systems. I don't know if it is standard on Slackware or not, but this website claims to have it:

  • Atreyu, gave a great recommendation, a slackbuild for vlock is available at http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13.37/system/vlock/

    Hi!
    You may use screen and then log off, screen is present in all distros (at least in the major ones - suse, ubuntu, fedora, redhat, centos, debian, slackware, etc, etc).
