Home Learn Linux Linux Answers Networking Why can't I get ubuntu 11.04 to connect to 5ghz Belkin router?
Answers
  • Hi,

have you checked on the router that you dont have MAC address filtering turned on? Do you have the option to test if you can obtain an address by temporarily connecting the laptop to the router using a Ethernet cable.

Can you 'see' the router but just not connect?

  • Actually as it turns out the chipset for the wireless doesn't support a 5ghz signal. So the new zotac went back.
