  • Make sure you try other programs and see if any 3D acceleration at all is working, if you are using a ATI RADEON Card you may not have 3D acceleration without a bit more tinkering. I posted about this and how I fixed it in the linux.com forums.

    However if you do have 3D acceleration, ignore that statement.

  • You need a strong video adapter to use compiz. Make sure the drivers are installed.
