I must agree with you,
while internal blog editor is fine and robust, I can easy handle my blogs with no problems but I wish to have something I can use offline or where I can cut'n'paste with ease.
Don't think we're all alone, I think others will find this feature useful, need to talk with Brian and others from linux foundation for asking about it, but I think they're now pretty busy with spammers so I think we must wait for a while
