With Third Release Candidate, Clutter is Closer

Clutter is the advanced user-interface library at the heart of Moblin v2. The Clutter open-source project keeps moving closer to a “version 1.0″ release — with the latest update, 0.9.8, coming just a few days ago. It’s the third release candidate for the official 1.0 release.

The project team describes Clutter as

Clutter uses OpenGL (and optionally OpenGL ES for use on Mobile and embedded platforms) for rendering but with an API which hides the underlying GL complexity from the developer. The Clutter API is intended to be easy to use, efficient and flexible.
