Moblin Gains Online Video Editing

Swedish startup JayCut today announced the availability of video editing software for the Moblin technology platform. The Adobe AIR-based "JayCut Mobile" app aims to let netbook and even handheld device users edit video on the go.

Ordinarily, one thinks of video editing as a task requiring the lastest high-powered desktop hardware, a large array of fast storage devices, and two or more large monitors. Yet, it needn't be so, claims JayCut. The company earlier this year began offering web-server based video editing services accessible via standard browsers such as Firefox.
