Asus has begun distributing Linux source code for its 1008HA "Seashell" model netbook. The move suggests that the company has also begun to distribute actual Seashell models pre-installed with Linux -- and probably Moblin technology.

Hats off to K. T. Bradford for spotting the download. Writing on the LaptopMag blog, he said, "On the software download page for the Eee PC 1008HA there are three choices: DOS, WinXP and Linux. Yep, Linux..."
