Oracle Coherence 3.5 Speeds Application Processes

Oracle Monday upgraded its distributed memory management product, Coherence, to the 3.5 release so that it can manage larger memory pools across server grids and make them safer for continuous operations.

By putting multiple terabytes of data into the random access memory of a grid and coordinating its use, Coherence makes it possible to run an application on fewer servers and still manage a large numbers of users. In addition, Coherence is now part of Oracle's Fusion Middleware suite and has been integrated with the WebLogic application server and WebLogic Portal...
