Linux RAID Tool mdadm Updated

Developer Neil Brown has announced the release of a new version of mdadm. The tool is used for creating, assembling, reporting on and monitoring Linux Software RAID arrays. Version 3.0 of mdadm can now handle metadata updates entirely in the userspace, which allows it to support formats that the kernel doesn't know about. Currently, the tool supports DDF (Comon RAID Disk Data Format), the SNIA standard format, as well as Intel Matrix, used by recent Intel ICH controllers...
