Hydraulic Quadruped (Italian Institute of Technology)
The recently demonstrated Hydraulic Quadruped (Hyq) can navigate rough terrain by stepping over obstacles. The Xenomai Linux based quadruped robot features hydraulic actuators that let it step, walk, jump, and kick, as well as trot at up to 2m/sec.
