According to a post on TechCrunch The CrunchPad, a Linux based, browser only, touch screen computer is close to being launched. The CrunchPad started life as an idea of TechCrunch's founder, Michael Arrington, who wanted a simple tablet style computer for browsing the web that cost around $200. TechCrunch have shown the development of the idea, from early concepts last summer through various prototypes, and have now created the "launch prototype", a sleek, black, 18mm thick tablet with a 12 inch touch screen.
