Hollywood studios use GNU/Linux for making block-busters, but there is no professional grade film editing solution for the GNU/Linux desktop. Lightworks may be the first such solution. Editshare, the company behind Lightworks, has announced the first public beta of Linuxworks. Earlier an alpha was released to a limited audience.
