I have the Linux Lite 2 final installed alongside other distro's on partitions of this pc. For 8 years I have used for work day-to-day Linux (XKLUbuntu, Mint Xfce MATE, PCLOS/KDE/Gnome/MATE, all very good, Xubuntu 12.04 the best for 2 years. But Linux Lite 2 (based Ubuntu 14.04 LTS) is the best I found for now. Very sparky, flashy, crispy, friendly, no hustle.. LIGHT, but complete.. great! Very, very stable, no matter how hard you kick it. I love it.
