VLC Media Player Gets Ever More Sophisticated

Increasingly, all of us are consuming more rich media, and working with video. While there have been several open source media players available that are worth using, my favorite remains VLC Media Player, for numerous reasons. I use it every day, and one of its greatest strengths is that there is almost never a file format that it can't deal with.
