Best linux for Old Laptop?

Hello,...

Hello,

In order to help you more accurately, we need to know how much RAM your "old" computer have. However, if it is a very old laptop and have up to 512 MB of RAM, then you should use mini Linux distributions, such as:

However, if you have 1 GB or more memory - you can freely try to use some of the most advanced Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu, Mint or Fedora.

Hi....

Hi.

There are several good options. It all depends on what your are looking for and what you need. You could distros with LXDE like Lubuntu. Another good and lightweight distro is CrunchBang. Or if you need something even lighter, try Puppy Linux.

Hello,...

Hello,

The question is a little obscure, but in a general sense, and of the "light-weight" distros of Linux will be good for an "older" laptop.

Lubuntu is a good distro for handling older hardware:

It is very lightweight and doesn't require to much in hardware horsepower. And isn't difficult to install as other "lightweight" distros.

Hope that helps.

PS. Would recommend maybe listing the specific model of laptop your referring to next time
