Browsing on internet

I have Linux installed and it seems to be working well except that when I browse the Internet, I always see a message to the effect that the site is insecure. This happens even for sites like Google. Can you help me?...

Answer to the question

I am using Linux 15. I have uninstalled after reinstalling Linux. The error reported now is slightly different: "Server not found". Along with this error report, I am prompted to check the firewall settings and modify them to let selected sites through. I looked up Help but could not find anything on the firewall and I can't browse the net to find out because Firefox does not allow me. So, I am temporarily stuck!

Answer to the question

Chrome and Firefox have changed

Earlier in the year both browsers have started labelling all non HTTPS sites that have logins or credit card fields as not secure. I'm not sure why Google site is telling you this since it is an https site. I've tried numerous sites, entering them as http:// and they change to https:// before they display and show that they are secure.
