Dell Netbook Doesn't Recognize Installed Linux Mint

I was able to boot from a live USB and install Linux Mint on my netbook, but when I tried to boot it up, the computer did not recognize any bootable devices. UEFI and secure boot are off.

Answer to the question

My friend had similar issues with Linux Mint. Issue seemed to be the UEFI bugging. When he managed to properly disable this, the Linux Mint install was successfull.

Answer to the question

Encryption

Did you install and select to encrypt your user home directory? On several occassions, I've had Ubuntu based distros that WILL not work if I encrypt the directory during install, but work fine if I just encrypt it later. Try that.

Answer to the question

Consider seeing if you have Secure Boot or UEFI enabled in your BIOS.  If so, consider disabling them both.
