Driver for USB/PS2 adapter

Greetings,  I have 2 systems linked by a KVM switch. The 'restored' Dell does not have a PS2 port so I have a USB/PS2 adapter. But, the keyboard is not recognized by Mint Cinnamon. I need a driver, yes? Can anyone help? And if so, I have no idea how to install the driver. Thank you kindly. David

The keyboard might be recognized on it's own if you had a PS2 connection to your system. I'd be surprised if it were not. But that USB/PS2 adapter might not be recognized. You can open a terminal and enter the command lsusb to see what USB devices are recognized. If it isn't noticing that adapter, I would suggest connecting directly to the restored Dell with a usb based keyboard or finding the make and model numbers of that adapter.
