How to change my password?

I can't change the password which was put on my computer by a Technician he now want to charge me for removing it!

Hi MAS12,

The password change process depends on the OS that you are currently using. In case of Linux we can go into runlevel 1 and change the password.It would be of great if the Linux distro is mentioned.
