How to create a desktop icon that will run a command?

I have an LED keyboard that requires a command to light up (xset led 3) and it becomes tedious to redo the on and off commands each time I need to activate or deactivate the LEDs. Is there a way to save a terminal command into a desktop icon so that when needed I can just press the icon and turn off/on the LEDs a bit easier, similar to saving a notepad file to a .bat file on windows?

Answer to the question

i think creating a symlink will done this on ubuntu.

Answer to the question

I found a ubuntu wiki that explains how to create a desktop shortcut for a terminal based command. It will require some script writing so thoroughly read the wiki
