How do I repair my MBR on a dual boot Win8/Ubuntu12.04 install?

Hi folks. I need some help, please.I apologize if this is in the wrong catagory. My machine is a Toshiba P855-S5312 laptop on which i was dual booting Windows 8(came installed), with UEFI/Secure boot enabled, and Ubuntu 12.04 (this setup has been running well for about 3-4 months, without a hitch). I Corrupted my MBR by accidently opening "multisystem" install script (to create multi system, bootable usb drive) on desktop folder instead of usb stick folder. Upon rebooting, i kept getting a Grub error and a Grub prompt when i turned on my machine and was unable to load anything. i went into bios and disabled UEFI. this allowed me to see the normal grub boot screen and boot into ubuntu. I could see the windows entries (like it normally looked) but selecting them merely returned "grub error" and a grub prompt. and then it would return to the 'normal' grub boot screen again then i tried to reboot so i could get into bios again and CRAP! Cannot get back into Bios , cannot get it to boot from either the CD/DVD or a USB stick( so no sytem rescue disk, no live distro disk, cant use my windows8 restore disks-yes i made them). I am able to boot into the ubuntu install, which boots from bios (i ran: ~$ dmesg | grep "EFI v" in terminal and got no return, hence bios boot, not UEFI). I know the windows partition is still there because i can see them as unmounted drives in my linux system. i have already accessed and retrieved/backed up all my personal files etc from both partitions (win & Linux) so i am not worried about losing data. i just need to get that damn windows system back up and runnning. some programs i use are windows only so i need this up n runnin. Hell the machines only 4-5 months old and i have crippled it! HEEEELLLPPP! As best I can tell the windows OS and the bios is all still there, i just cant access most of it.
