How to make a Zorin partition bootable?

I am working on a dual boot with mac os x and Zorin, i have formatted the partition to EXT3. I tried to make it bootable with unetbootin, but when i click the info button, it says "Bootable : no"
How do i fix this?

Boot into OS X and install a app called rEFIt Boot manager. You can google it...

Boot into OS X and install a app called rEFIt Boot manager. You can google it and find the install. Run that and then reboot and you should see a graphical menu screen to pick which OS you want to start.

When you install Linux after another OS, the partition won't be bootable. It will boot from the active partition of the first OS by way of a boot manager.
