How reset login and password to Linux 7.0 personal

Recently installed SuSe Linux 7.0 which I have had but never used before.   I assigned a boot name and password during installation.  It will not recognize the login data given.  How can I reinstall the software?  It will not let me out of the login option.

Actually the only way you can reset your user account password is log in as a root in your SuSE Linux computer then use the follow command:

passwd username

That's the only way as I know to reset the password.

First reboot
Then when the grub srceen appears press "a", then add a 1 to the end of the kernel line. It should boot to a terminal prompt
Type in the command "psswd root"
From there you should be able to reset the password.
